Assessment and Evaluation (A&E) Policy

Our assessment practices will frequently monitor student progress while emphasizing critical thinking within all pathways including university, college, apprenticeships, and workplace programs. Every student must be connected to meaningful learning in the classroom with caring relationships within our system and the broader community.

Our staff will follow the A&E policies of the Halton District School Board and the Ministry of Education's Growing Success document. Growing Success is the Provincial, Board and Dr. Frank J. Hayden A&E policy.

At Hayden, we strive to cultivate a culture of responsibility. Students are responsible for providing evidence of their learning within established timelines.

Students are responsible for being academically honest in all aspects of their school work so that the marks they receive are a true reflection of their achievement.
