Breakfast Program

Did you know that Dr. Frank J Hayden Secondary School provides ALL students with access to healthy food at school? A Student Nutrition Program has been running in partnership with Halton Food for Thought (HFFT) for approximately 5 years. This program is open to all students free of charge and runs Monday to Friday, 8:00-8:30 am, in the cafeteria. We also offer the grab and go baskets which can be found in key areas of the school including Guidance and Student Success.  The baskets have a variety of healthy snacks available - applesauce, cereal, granola bars, fresh fruit, etc.

All food prepared and served in the program meets Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services Nutrition Guidelines and follow Safe Food Handling practices.
