Hayden Huskies continue to shine! Another fantastic year for our student athletes! Check out our Hayden Championship Tracker!

At Hayden, we believe in developing students' assets through co-curricular activities. We believe in sportsmanship, teamwork, best effort, and fair play. Our teams represent Hayden with Huskies Pride! We have amazing staff, parent & community coaches who are truly dedicated in developing character through sport.

All team sports will have a $50 per student fee and individual sports will have a $30 fee per student. As always, financial concerns should not keep a student from participating, so please contact the Athletic Director, Krista Caron (, for assistance. Fee payments can be made after tryouts (some sports have tryout fees e.g. ice rentals) and through the cashless system. Coaches will send letters home detailing each team's cost.

The fees will cover our membership with the Halton Secondary School Athletics Association (HSSAA), which include our referees, equipment, first aid, coach support, and awards. The fees will also cover transportation and one tournament entry, where applicable. Additional fees may be incurred depending on the sport, the number of tournaments, etc. Please speak to the coach regarding each team's unique situation.

REQUIRED MEDICAL FORMS FOR 2019-2020 SCHOOL YEAR  Must be completed separately for each team and BROUGHT TO FIRST TRY-OUT.

IN GRADE 10, 11 or 12 and NEW TO #HUSKYNATION?? If you're transferring to Hayden in the school year in grade 10, 11 or 12, there are a number of eligibility considerations that must be met before competing for our teams. Please refer to the OFSAA Transfer Appeal Form, which all schools in the Halton Secondary School Athletic Association (HSSAA) MUST follow. Please complete the form and bring it, along with the required supporting documentation to Ms. Caron in the Healthy, Active Living Office as soon as possible. Student-Athletes new to Hayden beyond September of their grade 9 year may NOT compete in ANY athletics until this requirement is met and the student is deemed eligible by HSSAA.

NEW: As per Halton Secondary School Athletic Association (HSSAA) policy, students may only compete in one higher risk sport per season. If a student is considering competing in two lower risk sports, they need to discuss their schedules with parents, both sport coaches and their teachers PRIOR to the season to see if the combination feasible for both sports.

See Ms. Caron ( in the Health and Physical Education Office if you have any questions.
