Cross Country Athletes play their season in the Fall while Track & Field Athletes compete in the Spring. Since these are individual sports, there is a mandatory minimum of 8 team practices that all members must attend. Many athletes are involved in outside clubs and this will be taken under consideration as well.
Commitment: Two to three formal practices per week plus personal training, approx. three competitive meets, depending on scheduling
Requirements: Students are asked to bring proper running shoes and running attire, water bottle, along with a signed permission form to the first practice. Practice information will be shared at the meeting mentioned above.
Season: September and October
Practices: The Hayden Cross Country team practices Monday to Thursday at 3:15 pm (meet on the Track). Students are required to have attended 16 Team practices in order to run at GHAC. Students are also encouraged to run either Monday or Wednesday and every Saturday.
Students are expected to be on time and dressed appropriately for weather conditions. Students will not be allowed to run in anything other than proper running shoes.
