Cross Country

Dr. Frank J. Hayden offers individual sports in inter-school competition. In general, Grade 9's (14 and under) are Midget runners, 10's (15 and under) are Junior runners while Grades 11, 12 & returning 12's are Senior runners.

Cross Country Athletes play their season in the Fall while Track & Field Athletes compete in the Spring. Since these are individual sports, there is a mandatory minimum of 8 team practices that all members must attend. Many athletes are involved in outside clubs and this will be taken under consideration as well.

COACHES -  Mrs.Hammond hammonds@hdsb.ca and  Mr.Mark markp@hdsb.ca

Commitment: Two to three formal practices per week plus personal training, approx. three competitive meets, depending on scheduling

Students are expected to be on time and dressed appropriately for weather conditions. Students will not be allowed to run in anything other than proper running shoes.
