Proud to be #HUSKYNATION!

At Hayden, we believe in developing students' assets through co-curricular activities. We believe in sportsmanship, teamwork, best effort, and fair play. Our teams represent Hayden with Huskies Pride! We have amazing staff, parent & community coaches who are truly dedicated in developing character through sport.

Costs will be kept to a minimum and charged on a sport-by-sport basis. Parents / guardians will receive a letter home that will outline any costs associated with a particular team, prior to any competition.

The approximate base cost for team sports that have regular league play is $65 per sport.  Individual sports that are based on tournaments only, are approximately $50 per sport.

As always, financial concerns should not keep a student from participating, so please contact the Athletic Director, Krista Caron (caronk@hdsb.ca), for assistance. Fee payments can be made after tryouts (some sports have tryout fees e.g. ice rentals) and through the cashless system. Coaches will send letters home detailing each team's cost.

Any fees will cover our membership with the Halton Secondary School Athletics Association (HSSAA), which include our referees, equipment, first aid, coach support, and awards. The fees will also cover transportation and one tournament entry, where applicable. Additional fees may be incurred depending on the sport, the number of tournaments, etc. Please speak to the coach regarding each team's unique situation.

REQUIRED MEDICAL FORMS FOR 2023-2024 SCHOOL YEAR - Must be completed separately for each team and BROUGHT TO FIRST TRY-OUT.

Maybe you're looking to combine your love for #HuskyNation with your volunteer hours? Follow @HaydenHuskies on Twitter for on-going information on league and tournament events which require score-keepers & timers. Don't worry... we'll train you!

IN GRADE 10, 11 or 12 and NEW TO #HUSKYNATION?? Email Ms. Caron (caronk@hdsb.ca) or stop by the Phys Ed Office for transfer information and requirements.

As per Halton Secondary School Athletic Association (HSSAA) policy, students may only compete in one higher risk sport per season. If a student is considering competing in two lower risk sports, they need to discuss their schedules with parents, both sport coaches and their teachers PRIOR to the season to see if the combination is feasible for both sports.

See Ms. Caron (caronk@hdsb.ca) in the Health and Physical Education Office if you have any questions.

As HAYDEN TEAM SCHEDULES become available, please refer to www.hssaa.ca or HAYDEN ATHLETICS CALENDAR below. Click on each entry to access bus / taxi times, if applicable.
